I am David, I love camping as you do, and I manage an equipped Camper Area inside All’Antica Mattonata.
It is not only my passion who pushed me to open the farm to the campers, but the idea of the Agrisosta has matured with time.
Every day I see that our guests love to leave the camper and to visit Assisi by feet, by bike or by bus because the town is very close to our place.
To be able to stop in a country farm is to have a reference point, green spaces where you can read a book and let the children play, an available wi-fi. You can set down the bike to enjoy a ride, or you can make a barbecue with friends while trying some typical farm products.
I often looked for country houses with such services, but these are rarely comfortable as a starting place to visit points of interest. To see the artistic beauties of the city I often had to take different public transportation or had to be forced to the shuttles schedules that were made available.
The resting area for campers at the All’Antica Mattonata farm tries to join both needs: it is just 1 km from the St. Francis Cathedral and just 1 km from the Porziuncola. It allows you to visit all the main Franciscan places easily and conveniently.
In addition you can enjoy the beautiful hiking trails and cycle paths which start really close to the Area.
